Pros: The work flexibility is pretty solid here. As a Localization Project Manager, I could mostly set my own hours, which was great for managing personal stuff. Being fully remote from Berlin really helped with that, especially in the localization industry where client time zones can be tricky.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility meant late-night calls to catch clients in other time zones, which could mess with work-life balance a bit. There isn't much structure around when the entire team needs to be online, which occasionally caused delays for urgent linguistic tasks.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer core hours for team syncs to prevent constant late-night client calls from impacting everyone's work-life balance. Better coordination for urgent localization projects would help.
