Pros: I really liked the hybrid work model here. We got a good mix of WFH days and office time in the Seattle office. As a Software Engineer, the workload usually felt manageable, around 40-45 hours a week, which is great for the tech industry.
Cons: Sometimes Agile sprints get intense, and we'd have a few late nights. It's not a constant issue, but it does happen. Also, getting time off during peak project cycles can be tough to coordinate with the team.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out the intensity of those peak sprint cycles. More predictable workloads would really help avoid burnout for engineering teams.

Pros: The base salary as a Software Engineer here is pretty competitive for Austin, TX. I've always felt fairly compensated financially, especially for a mid-size tech company. They do offer a basic 401k match, which is a nice touch.
Cons: Healthcare benefits are just okay, definitely not top-tier. I wish there were better dental or vision coverage options. Don't expect huge bonuses or stock options like at bigger tech firms.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the healthcare plans and adding more competitive bonus structures to attract top tech talent.

Pros: Team members are really solid, especially in the Seattle office. There's a decent sense of camaraderie amongst the individual contributors. My direct team was supportive.
Cons: The culture feels a bit too corporate and resistant to change. It's tough to get new ideas adopted, even in agile development teams. Sometimes it feels like they prioritize process over innovation for a big tech company.
Advice to Management: Focus on empowering teams more. Encourage risk-taking and faster decision-making to improve the overall culture. Reduce some of the bureaucratic hurdles for software development projects.
