Decent Pay, But Perks Could Be Better
Pros: As an Account Executive here, the base salary for SaaS sales roles is pretty solid, especially working in the San Francisco office. I've also found the 401k match and health benefits to be quite good for a big tech company.
Cons: The bonus structure can feel a bit out of reach sometimes, making it tough to hit those higher pay tiers. Also, while the benefits are okay, I feel like some of the newer, smaller tech companies offer more unique perks or better stock options, even with our hybrid work model.
Advice to Management: Rethink the bonus targets to make them more attainable for the sales force. Consider adding more competitive stock options or modern perks to keep up with industry trends.

Leadership Is Hit or Miss for Software Engineers
Pros: Some VPs are truly inspiring, especially in their vision for our SaaS products. You get to learn from really smart people in big tech. It's a decent place for career growth if you find the right manager.
Cons: Leadership churn is a real problem for us in the San Francisco office. It means project directions can change suddenly. This definitely impacts morale and overall team stability for engineering roles.
Advice to Management: Try to stabilize management and provide clearer long-term vision. The constant shifts really affect engineering teams and overall product development.

Good tech, career growth needs effort
Pros: I've learned a ton working with Salesforce's core CRM platform. There's plenty of opportunity to pick up new skills, especially in cloud computing. As a Software Engineer, you get exposed to a lot.
Cons: It's tough to move up fast here, especially in the San Francisco office. You really have to advocate for yourself. Sometimes you feel stuck in a niche if you don't push for new projects.
Advice to Management: Make career paths clearer for individual contributors. Encourage cross-functional project rotations more often.

Good learning, slow advancement for some
Pros: As an Associate Software Engineer, there are tons of resources like Trailhead to learn new skills in the cloud software space. It's a solid place to get exposure to the SaaS industry and large-scale development. You can definitely pick up a lot if you're proactive.
Cons: Career growth felt a bit slow for me, especially wanting to move up from an entry-level tech role. It's tough to get noticed for promotions in such a big tech company sometimes. Internal mobility can be a challenge if your manager doesn't advocate enough.
Advice to Management: Make career paths clearer for junior employees. Encourage managers to actively support internal team changes and promotions, especially for early-career individuals.

Culture's good, but definitely changing now
Pros: I've been a Senior Software Engineer here for a while. The company culture used to be awesome. We had a real Ohana vibe, especially for remote employees. It felt like a solid tech company where people genuinely cared.
Cons: Lately, it feels more corporate and less personal. There's less focus on individual team connection. It's getting harder to feel integrated in this big tech environment. The CRM industry can be demanding, and that pressure sometimes makes the culture suffer.
Advice to Management: Try to bring back some of that original Ohana feel. Connect more with individual teams, not just broad initiatives. Remember what made Salesforce's company culture special.

Decent flexibility for a big tech company
Pros: Working from home is a huge plus for this Account Executive role. I can set my own sales calls and manage my client relationships without being tied to an office. The remote work setup for this enterprise software giant really helps my work-life balance.
Cons: Even with good work flexibility, there are still a ton of mandatory meetings. It's tough to truly disconnect when your calendar is packed. Some days, it feels like WFH just means you're always on call, which isn't ideal for a sales professional.
Advice to Management: Try to cut down on the required internal meetings. It would really help with actual work-life balance, especially for remote Account Executives trying to manage their own schedules and client calls.

Salesforce Culture: Good, but Has Downsides
Pros: The benefits package is solid here. Health insurance and 401k matching are very competitive, which is great for a big tech firm. There's also a strong push for professional development; I got to work on some interesting CRM software features. The hybrid work model in the San Francisco office offered decent flexibility.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit too corporate and sometimes impersonal. It's tough to feel truly connected in such a large organization. Is the work-life balance good? Not always, especially during major release cycles for the cloud platform. Expect some long hours then.
Advice to Management: Try to make the culture feel less corporate and more collaborative across teams. Streamline some of the approval processes to empower engineering teams more. Focus on strengthening local team cultures.

Good Pay, Benefits Are Just Okay
Pros: The base salary for sales roles, especially for Account Executives, is really solid. I've always felt my compensation package for closing deals was fair. Plus, the health insurance plan is pretty comprehensive, which is a big deal in the San Francisco area.
Cons: While the pay is good, I think some of the other benefits could be better. The 401k match isn't amazing compared to other big tech firms. Also, the PTO policy feels a little rigid; it's not super generous for an established company.
Advice to Management: Review the 401k match and PTO policies to stay competitive with other leading software companies. Little improvements in these areas would boost morale significantly.

Solid place for sales, but growth is tough
Pros: The sales training for new Account Executives is actually really good. You learn a ton about selling CRM software and managing a sales pipeline. There's definitely a lot of internal resources for learning, especially for Salesforce products, which is a solid resume builder.
Cons: Career growth for non-management roles feels pretty capped unless you consistently hit President's Club. Getting promoted as an Account Executive can be a slow grind. Internal mobility is talked about but it's hard to move to other departments like product or marketing from a core sales position in this big tech company.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer, more accessible pathways for career growth beyond just hitting sales targets, especially for experienced Account Executives looking to transition to other roles within the company.

Leadership is a real mixed bag at Salesforce
Pros: The pay and benefits package is solid for big tech. You work with smart people, and there's a good vibe in the San Francisco office. As a Product Manager, I had interesting projects on our CRM platform.
Cons: Leadership can feel pretty disconnected sometimes. There are frequent reorgs, which makes it hard to get traction. Vision from upper management often changes, which affects teams and long-term planning, especially for hybrid setups.
Advice to Management: Try to provide more consistent vision and strategy. Frequent leadership changes and reorgs really impact morale and project continuity. Connect more with individual contributor roles.
