Pros: You do get decent PTO, which helps when you really need a break. Some managers try to be understanding if you have appointments, which is good. As a Project Coordinator, I did learn a lot quickly.
Cons: Work-life balance is pretty rough for us. Expect consistent 50-60 hour weeks, especially with project deadlines. Weekend work for site visits isn't uncommon, and it's mostly onsite work at the Dallas, TX office and job sites.
Advice to Management: Try to distribute the workload better, especially for Project Coordinator roles. More support staff could really help ease the burden and improve work-life balance across the mid-sized construction firm.
