Path Robotics was founded by brothers Andy and Alex Lonsberry with a desire to help fill workforce gaps in the manufacturing industry.
At Path Robotics, we understand manufacturers are constantly being asked to do more with less; more reshoring, more demand, and more requirements with less time, less talent, and less tolerance. We’re helping guide the Fourth Industrial Revolution in manufacturing by providing robotic support to help keep up with those challenges. Our welding robots absorb high-volume, repetitive tasks by leveraging AI and machine learning. By doing this, we’re putting humans in safe, productive environments that allows manufacturers to increase productivity and grow their business.

Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is pretty competitive, especially considering it's a startup in the robotics industry. You can get good equity too, which is a nice perk for onsite engineers in the Columbus, Ohio office.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great. The 401k match is pretty low, and health insurance options felt just okay, not amazing. For a growing company, I'd expect better support on that front.
Advice to Management: Review the benefits package, especially the 401k matching program. Boosting these would really help attract and retain top talent, especially for engineering roles in this competitive market.

Pros: The tech we work on for industrial automation is really cutting edge. I've learned a ton as a Junior Robotics Engineer. There's a decent sense of camaraderie among the engineers focused on robotics roles.
Cons: Company culture can feel a bit cliquey at times in the Columbus, OH office. It's tough for new hires to really feel integrated. Sometimes communication isn't great between different teams, which slows down projects.
Advice to Management: Work on creating a more inclusive company culture. Make sure new folks feel welcome and integrate different teams better for improved collaboration in the robotics industry. Clearer communication would help a lot.
