WFH is good, but project demands vary

It's an okay place to work, especially if you get on a good project. Flexibility can be a real mixed bag though.


Pros

The work from home option is a solid perk for us in software development. It really helps with the daily commute in Pune, India. I've had decent flexibility on some projects, which is good for managing personal commitments.


Cons

Sometimes the remote work flexibility disappears fast. Project demands can make working from home tough, especially when client needs change quickly. It's not consistent across all IT consulting engagements.


Advice to Management

Try to standardize the work flexibility policies. It's hard when some project managers are very strict and others are super lenient. Consistency would really help us remote employees.

Growth is okay, but you need to push for it
Pros: You get decent exposure to different technologies and project types. It's a good learning ground if you're fresh out of college, especially in the Pune office. There's always something new to pick up if you're proactive.
Cons: Career progression can feel really slow; promotions don't come easily without actively seeking new projects. For an experienced Software Engineer, internal growth opportunities are limited, and you might feel stuck in the same role for a while.
Advice to Management: Invest more in upskilling programs and a clearer path for internal promotions, especially for mid-level Software Engineer roles. Try to keep good talent from looking externally for growth.
