Pros: Job security is really strong here, which is a big plus. As a Process Engineer, I always felt secure, even during economic downturns. It's a stable company in the heavy industrial projects space.
Cons: Sometimes, things move really slowly in this large corporate environment. Career growth can feel stagnant if you're looking to jump up quickly. The pace of change for plant solutions isn't always the fastest.
Advice to Management: Management should push for faster project cycles. Offer more clear paths for career advancement, especially for engineering roles within the company.

Decent work-life balance for project roles
Pros: The work-life balance is decent if you manage your projects well. As a Project Engineer, I usually stuck to my 40-hour week. The onsite work environment in the Springfield, Ohio office was pretty stable.
Cons: Some departments in industrial engineering, especially towards project deadlines, demand way more hours. It's tough when you see others constantly working overtime. There's not much flexibility if you need to work remotely.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize workloads better across different industrial engineering teams. Offer more hybrid work options for roles that can support it.

Decent Engineering Work, Slow Career Climb
Pros: The projects are genuinely interesting, especially if you're into heavy industrial engineering. You get to learn a lot about the technical side of the pulp and paper industry. There's good job security too, which is a big plus in a corporate setting like ANDRITZ.
Cons: Career growth for a Process Engineer feels really slow. There aren't many clear promotion paths or opportunities to move up quickly. You really have to push hard for new responsibilities or training in the Graz office.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career pathways for mid-level engineers. Invest more in internal training and mentorship programs to help us develop new skills and take on more senior roles in industrial engineering.
