Good Place for Stable Career and Learning
Pros: Xerox offers a pretty stable environment, which I really appreciate as a Software Engineer in the business services industry. There's often a lot of opportunity for learning new technologies, especially if you're proactive and willing to dig in. My colleagues are generally supportive, and I've found a good work-life balance with the hybrid work model from our Rochester, NY office. The company's long history in document technology means there's a lot of institutional knowledge to tap into.
Cons: One area that could improve is streamlining some internal processes; approvals can sometimes feel a bit drawn out, impacting project timelines. Also, while there are development opportunities, the promotion ladder for a Software Engineer sometimes feels a bit slow-paced. It's not always clear how to accelerate career growth within specific product groups, especially when dealing with legacy systems that need updates.
Advice to Management: Focus on simplifying internal approval workflows and clearly outlining paths for faster career progression, especially for technical roles in evolving areas like cloud software development. Modernizing some legacy tech stacks would also be a huge boost for innovation.

Solid place if you want stable, remote work
Pros: The remote work arrangement was really good. It made my work-life balance as a Software Engineer way better. Also, the benefits package is decent, not amazing but solid for a corporate gig.
Cons: The company culture feels pretty outdated. It's a big, old player in the printing industry, so things aren't exactly innovative. Getting new tech approved can be a real pain.
Advice to Management: Try to embrace modern ways of working and speed up decision-making. Focus on making the culture more dynamic and less rigid, especially for tech roles.

Decent benefits, but pay needs a boost
Pros: The 401k match is pretty solid for a big corporate environment like Xerox. You also get good PTO right off the bat. It's stable work for a Technical Support Specialist in the Rochester, NY office.
Cons: The base pay for these entry-level managed print services roles isn't super competitive. It feels like salaries haven't really kept up with inflation. Health insurance premiums also feel a bit high.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate compensation bands, especially for critical support roles in the printing solutions industry. Make sure salaries are competitive with the current market to retain talent.

Pay's okay, but benefits could improve.
Pros: As a Product Manager, the base salary was decent for a large corporate environment, especially working remote from Texas. The 401k match is pretty solid too. You get paid what you're told.
Cons: Raises are often minimal, even with good performance reviews in enterprise software. Don't expect huge bonuses. The health insurance costs can be a bit steep for families, eating into your paycheck.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the annual raise structure and bonus pools to better reward high-performing employees. Also, look into more affordable health insurance options for families.

Xerox: Job Security is a Mixed Bag
Pros: The name Xerox still means something in digital printing and document management. That gives you a decent base. If you're solid in your technical support role, you'll probably stick around for a while.
Cons: Job security feels a bit shaky sometimes. There's always talk about restructuring or downsizing, especially for legacy tech areas. I've seen good people leave, and it makes you wonder about the long-term.
Advice to Management: Really focus on innovation and showing employees where the company is headed. More transparency around future plans would help with job security concerns.

Solid History, But Leadership Needs a Refresh
Pros: I liked the stability of working for a big corporate company like Xerox. As an Account Manager, I had pretty good autonomy with my client base. The work-life balance in the Rochester, NY office was generally decent, sticking to around 40-45 hour weeks.
Cons: Leadership felt a bit out of touch with current market trends in the document management industry. There's not much vision for the future, which made career growth tough for sales roles. Decision-making can be really slow, and it's frustrating.
Advice to Management: Management needs to listen more to their frontline employees. Invest in new technology and a clearer, more aggressive market strategy to stay relevant in the evolving printing solutions space. Empower middle managers more too.

Pay is Okay, Benefits are Decent, Not Amazing
Pros: The health benefits are solid, that's a big plus. As a Technical Support Specialist, I felt the 401k matching was pretty standard, which is fine.
Cons: Base pay isn't super competitive, especially for the Rochester, NY area. Raises felt really slow to come, even with good performance in the document management industry.
Advice to Management: Seriously look at market rates for comparable roles, especially for critical positions like Technical Support. Faster, more transparent raise structures would help.

Job Security Is a Real Concern Here
Pros: The actual work supporting their printer technology and enterprise solutions was interesting sometimes. I also appreciated the hybrid model for work-life flexibility. The team in Rochester, NY was usually solid.
Cons: Job security is my biggest issue. It's a constant worry, especially for us in tech support. There's always news about layoffs or departments getting cut, which isn't great for morale. This happens a lot at a legacy tech company like Xerox.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more open about future plans. It's tough to focus when everyone's worried about losing their job. Give us some stability, please.

Leadership struggles at this big corporate company
Pros: I've enjoyed the steady work as a Field Service Engineer. The job security at Xerox is pretty solid. Decent benefits package too, especially for the Rochester, NY office.
Cons: Leadership can be really out of touch. They don't seem to understand the daily grind for onsite technical support roles. Promotions feel more about who you know, not actual performance, which hurts career growth.
Advice to Management: Spend more time with your field teams. Understand the real challenges of delivering printer solutions daily. Invest in developing internal talent for leadership roles instead of only external hires.

Work-Life Balance is Okay, But It Varies
Pros: Some teams actually have a pretty solid work-life balance here. As a Technical Support Specialist, I often had predictable hours. There's also some flexibility with the hybrid model for certain roles, which is a plus.
Cons: But don't expect it everywhere. The printing technology industry can be demanding. It's common to deal with after-hours issues and some projects require really long weeks, making balancing personal life tough.
Advice to Management: Managers need to really evaluate workload distribution across teams. Set clearer expectations on 'after-hours' work. This will help prevent burnout and improve retention for all employees.
