Pros: I've been a Clinical Research Associate at Parexel for a few years now, and I really appreciate the work flexibility. Being a global Contract Research Organization, they understand the need for adaptable schedules, especially for remote roles. My team is super supportive, and I've gained so much valuable experience in the life sciences industry. The career development resources are pretty good too.
Cons: Sometimes the workload can get pretty intense, especially when juggling multiple studies. It can feel like there's a lot of administrative burden and internal processes can be a bit slow, but it's manageable.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining some of the internal approval processes to reduce administrative burden on CRAs. Better resource allocation during peak study periods would also be beneficial.

Pros: I really appreciate the work from home setup. As a Clinical Research Associate, I can manage my schedule pretty well, which is great for work-life balance. It's a big plus to be remote from North Carolina and avoid a commute. This company in the CRO industry understands the need for WFH options.
Cons: Sometimes it's tough to connect with team members when everyone's remote. You miss out on some of that in-person collaboration. There are still some fixed meeting times that can feel restrictive, even with the flexibility.
Advice to Management: Keep fostering that remote flexibility but find more creative ways to build team connection for those of us not in an office. More social events for remote employees would be a good idea.

Pros: For a Clinical Research Associate like me, the remote work options are really solid. It's a huge plus to have that flexibility in the clinical research industry. My manager usually gets it when I need to adjust my schedule.
Cons: The workload can get super intense, making it tough to use that flexibility sometimes. Being fully remote can make you feel disconnected from your team. Also, getting approvals for big schedule changes isn't always quick or straightforward.
Advice to Management: Management should really work on boosting team connection for remote employees. Maybe more structured virtual team events or just better general communication. Also, make the approval process for flexible schedule requests smoother.
