Decent Work-Life, Gets Busy in EV Tech
Pros: The hybrid model is pretty decent here; I get to WFH a few days a week, which really helps with personal errands. For a mid-sized tech company in EV charging infrastructure, they do make an effort to encourage some downtime.
Cons: As a Software Engineer, project deadlines can get super tight before product launches or big platform updates. I've definitely logged some 50-hour weeks, which makes maintaining a consistent work-life balance tough at the Campbell, CA office.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project scope and staffing levels to avoid frequent crunch times for engineering teams. More consistent support for work-life balance would be appreciated.

Culture is a bit hit or miss
Pros: I liked the team I worked with in the Campbell, CA office. It's cool to be part of the growing EV charging industry. My fellow Software Engineers were really smart and collaborative.
Cons: The company culture feels a bit disjointed. There's not much clear communication from leadership, especially with the hybrid work model. It's tough to feel truly connected sometimes.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating a more cohesive company culture. Improve communication channels and make hybrid work more inclusive for everyone. Leadership visibility is key.

Leadership has a good vision, but execution falters
Pros: I've learned a lot about the EV charging industry here. Teams are pretty collaborative, especially for Software Engineer roles. The work is challenging and you feel like you're contributing to something important.
Cons: Leadership often struggles with clear communication and consistent direction. It's hard to get big projects pushed through efficiently, even for onsite teams in Campbell, CA. There's a lot of churn at the top which impacts morale.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving internal communication and setting clearer, achievable roadmaps. Stabilize leadership to build more trust and reduce employee uncertainty.
