Tough to grow past entry-level in big corporate
Pros: You get great exposure to major brands in the beer industry. It looks good on a resume because it's a big corporate name. The benefits for onsite employees at the St. Louis office are pretty solid.
Cons: Career growth for marketing roles feels slow. There aren't many clear paths to move up without leaving or waiting a long time. It's hard to get noticed or move into brand management if you're not on a specific track.
Advice to Management: AB InBev needs to create clearer development plans for early-career employees. Invest more in internal promotions and mentorship, especially in the consumer goods marketing departments.

Tough work-life balance for corporate marketing.
Pros: The team I worked with was solid, very collaborative and supportive when things got busy. You learn a lot quickly, especially about the global beverage industry. Benefits are decent for a corporate role, which helps.
Cons: Work-life balance as a Marketing Associate can be a real struggle, especially with hybrid expectations. Expect long hours, often over 50-60 hours a week, and work often spills into evenings. It's tough to truly disconnect in the St. Louis office environment, and personal time is often sacrificed.
Advice to Management: Management needs to seriously look at staffing levels and reduce the expectation for constant overtime, especially for core marketing roles. Give people time to actually disconnect after work and promote a healthier work environment.

AB InBev: Good for growth, tough culture
Pros: You get excellent training as a new Sales Representative. It's a great place to understand the beverage industry from the inside. There are opportunities for career growth if you hit your numbers consistently.
Cons: The company culture is incredibly competitive, which can be draining. Work-life balance is often an afterthought in this corporate environment. It's tough to relax when targets are always looming.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more collaboration among teams. A little less internal competition could improve morale and retention.
