Flexibility is there, but depends on your team
Pros: For some teams, especially in software development, the hybrid model works well. You can often choose your WFH days if your manager is understanding. It's a nice perk for a growing fintech company of this size.
Cons: But it's not consistent across the board. As a Client Success Specialist, I found that being tied to phone lines meant less real work flexibility. It often feels more like an "onsite first" approach in the Calgary office for client-facing roles, which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize flexibility policies across all departments. Some roles, like client success within the payment processing industry, could really benefit from more remote options or adjusted schedules, especially since we're serving merchants across different time zones. It would help improve employee morale.
