Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work option for my Software Engineer role. It's nice to have some WFH days each week. The company allows for a mix, which is a big plus in this corporate environment, especially for a firm in the insurance software space.
Cons: The "hybrid" isn't super flexible though. There's still pressure to be in the Hartford, CT office more often than I'd like. It's not truly autonomous, and some teams struggle with coordination across locations for our projects.
Advice to Management: Give teams more autonomy on hybrid schedules. Trust employees to get the work done, whether they're in the office or remote. It would really improve morale and make Insurity more competitive for top talent in the insurance software space.

Pros: I really like the remote work setup here; it's a huge plus for my work-life balance. For Client Support Specialist roles, the day-to-day can be pretty stable, and you get good exposure to P&C insurance technology. My immediate team had really supportive peers, which made a big difference.
Cons: Leadership here is just inconsistent. There's a lot of micromanagement from some VPs, and decision-making often feels super slow for a mid-sized tech company. Communication from senior management can be pretty vague, especially about company direction or changes in the SaaS solutions roadmap.
Advice to Management: Focus on clear communication and empower your middle managers more. Stop micromanaging and trust your teams, especially those of us working remotely. Be more transparent about the future of Insurity's insurance software products.

Pros: I've worked as a Software Engineer here for a while. The job security in the insurance software industry is quite good. They offer decent benefits, and working hybrid with some remote from home flexibility was a big plus.
Cons: Career growth feels really slow. There's not much opportunity to move up, even for experienced roles. You can feel stuck in your current position without clear paths for professional development.
Advice to Management: Invest more in career pathing and professional development for your technical staff. It's tough to retain talent when there aren't clear growth opportunities beyond a certain point.
