Hybrid work is okay, but demands can be high
Pros: They do offer hybrid work which is nice. I spend about three days in the Glenview, IL office. It's solid for most normal weeks, and my team is generally supportive when I need to manage personal appointments.
Cons: In industrial distribution, project deadlines can be brutal. You'll often work beyond 40 hours during peak times or big inventory pushes. There's an expectation to be available, even on your WFH days, so the lines blur sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project loads to prevent burnout. Clearer boundaries for hybrid employees would really help improve overall well-being.

Hybrid Work is Okay, Needs More Trust
Pros: It's nice that hybrid work is an option now, at least a couple days a week for most office-based roles. For supply chain roles, having some WFH days helps with focus. It's better than being fully onsite all the time in our industrial distribution company.
Cons: The flexibility for us in industrial distribution could be better. There are strict onsite requirements for specific days, which can feel unnecessary. It's not truly flexible if you can't shift your schedule around much, even for a Logistics Coordinator like me in the corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Trust your employees more with their schedules. Evaluate if those mandatory onsite days are truly essential for every role in the Glenview, IL corporate environment. True flexibility would boost morale and productivity.

Hybrid is good, but balance varies a lot
Pros: I liked the hybrid work model they offered in the Chicago office. It really helped with commuting. For logistics and supply chain roles, there's a lot of interesting challenges and you learn a ton.
Cons: Work-life balance here is pretty inconsistent. You can get slammed with 50+ hour weeks often, especially when projects are tight. It's hard to predict when those crazy busy times will hit, which messes with personal plans.
Advice to Management: Try to even out the workload more across teams. Better project planning would help prevent those unexpected late nights for the supply chain analysts.
