Okay for remote recruiting, but market matters.
Pros: I appreciated the flexibility of being a remote Technical Recruiter. The commission structure for placing IT roles was decent when the tech market was hot. It's good if you like working independently from home.
Cons: Job security here felt pretty shaky sometimes, especially when the tech market cooled down. There isn't much stability for recruiters if the hiring slows, so your income can really fluctuate. It's a tough sales environment.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating more stable compensation models for recruiters during market downturns. Invest in training for managing client relationships beyond just quick placements to help with long-term security.

Good WFH for tech recruiting
Pros: I've gotta say, the work from home setup at CyberCoders is pretty solid for tech recruiters. You get a lot of autonomy which is key in the recruitment industry. It's easy to manage personal stuff during the day.
Cons: While it's remote, the hours can still get really long, especially for entry-level roles. There's definitely an expectation to be available, even if you're not physically in the Irvine office. It's not a true 9-to-5 if you want to hit goals.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries on working hours for recruiters. The remote flexibility is a huge perk, but it shouldn't mean being 'on' 24/7. Support work-life balance better.

Growth is possible but you earn it here
Pros: The training for new Technical Recruiters is solid. They teach you the ropes of the staffing industry pretty well. You learn a lot about sales and how to manage a pipeline from day one. It's good for getting your foot in the door if you're fresh out of college.
Cons: Career growth can feel really slow after the initial training period for recruiting roles. There aren't many clear paths past senior recruiter unless you hit crazy sales metrics. It's tough to move up without being a top performer every single quarter, especially if you're remote from Chicago, IL.
Advice to Management: Create more defined career paths for Technical Recruiters beyond just hitting sales targets. Invest in more leadership development for those who aren't purely sales-focused.
