Positive Culture and Growth for Process Engineers
Pros: Sidel offers a supportive company culture with great colleagues. As a Process Engineer, I've gained solid experience in the packaging machinery industry, especially on global projects. It's a stable company, providing good learning opportunities and job security.
Cons: Promotions can be slow, and decision-making feels bureaucratic at times. Work-life balance is generally good, but peak project periods are demanding. Clearer communication on career paths would help.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining decision-making processes to reduce bureaucracy. Also, enhance transparency and communication regarding career progression paths for employees.

Steady work in the packaging industry
Pros: Job security is pretty good here. It's a big, global company in the packaging solutions space, so there's always work coming in. As a Project Manager, I felt stable; layoffs weren't a constant worry in the Atlanta, GA office. Benefits like health insurance were decent too.
Cons: Growth can be really slow, especially if you're looking to move up quickly. You might get stuck in your role for a while without much upward mobility. The corporate structure can feel pretty bureaucratic, which slows down decision-making and innovation.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer career paths and opportunities for internal advancement. Try to streamline some of the bureaucratic processes to encourage more agility and innovation across teams.

Okay Culture, Can Be Isolated for Field Teams
Pros: As a Field Service Engineer, I've had solid support from my immediate team. When we're on client sites installing packaging machinery, the camaraderie is good. The technical training for beverage industry equipment is pretty thorough.
Cons: The overall corporate environment feels pretty disconnected sometimes. It's tough to build rapport with people outside your project group when you're a remote employee. Company culture for those of us not in a main office just isn't a priority.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating more inclusive initiatives for remote and travel-heavy roles. Virtual team events or better cross-functional communication tools could really help. It'd improve the sense of belonging for Field Service Engineers.
