Pros: Working at Bugcrowd exposes you to a lot of interesting vulnerability research; you learn a ton from the crowdsourced security model. As a Security Engineer, I've picked up new skills pretty quickly. It's a good environment for self-starters in the cybersecurity industry.
Cons: Formal career pathing isn't really there, especially for technical roles like mine. You kind of have to carve out your own growth, and promotions can feel pretty slow. There's not a lot of budget for external training or conferences even for remote staff.
Advice to Management: Establish clearer, more transparent career paths and development frameworks for all roles, not just senior leadership. Invest in external training opportunities.
