Pros: Some teams here offer a pretty solid hybrid model, which is nice. As a Manufacturing Engineer, I could usually WFH two days a week if my schedule allowed. The Marlborough, MA office is modern.
Cons: For many biopharmaceutical manufacturing roles, there's a strong push for onsite work. It can be tough to get consistent work flexibility, especially if you're directly supporting production lines. There's not much room for fully remote arrangements.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize remote and hybrid policies across all departments, especially for Manufacturing Engineer roles that don't always need to be hands-on. More consistent communication on flexibility expectations would help.

Pros: Some corporate roles definitely get solid hybrid flexibility, which is great for a big biotech company. I've seen folks do 2-3 days WFH, making the commute to Westborough, MA easier.
Cons: For Research Scientist roles, especially with lab work, the flexibility isn't really there. You're mostly onsite, which can make work-life balance tough. It's just the nature of life sciences R&D sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to find ways to offer more structured flexibility or WFH options for Research Scientist roles when lab work isn't critical. Even a half-day WFH could help morale.

Pros: The health insurance is pretty good, and the 401k match is decent for a large company. As a Manufacturing Associate in biotech manufacturing, I felt like the benefits package was a solid perk.
Cons: Entry-level pay isn't super competitive, especially for the cost of living in Marlborough, MA. Raises don't come easy, and there's not much room to negotiate salary if you're not in a senior role.
Advice to Management: Review entry-level salaries to be more competitive, especially for vital onsite manufacturing roles. Consider more transparent paths for merit-based raises.
