Pros: Gartner offers a truly collaborative culture and excellent learning opportunities within the IT research and advisory industry. Colleagues are supportive, and the hybrid model in Arlington, VA, provides good work flexibility. I've really grown as an Associate Consultant, gaining valuable insights from experienced professionals.
Cons: Promotion paths can sometimes feel a bit slow, and some internal processes are a bit bureaucratic. It's a minor thing, but sometimes getting quick approvals for client work can be a challenge. Overall, these are small issues.
Advice to Management: Keep investing in clear communication regarding career paths and look for ways to streamline internal processes to empower teams further. Nurturing the positive company culture is key.

Pros: The health benefits are actually pretty solid here, which is a big plus from a big corporate like Gartner. It's nice not to worry too much about medical and dental costs. Being remote from Austin, TX also helps a lot with saving money.
Cons: Base salary for an Account Executive isn't what I'd call competitive, especially in the tech industry. You really have to hit your numbers for the commission, and that can be really inconsistent. It's tough when your pay isn't stable month-to-month.
Advice to Management: Consider increasing the base salary for sales roles. It would make compensation feel more stable and probably help with talent retention in this competitive IT research space.

Pros: I've really liked the remote work option here. Being an Account Executive, I could pretty much set my own schedule for client calls and admin. That flexibility is a huge plus for my day-to-day.
Cons: The 'always on' expectation can be real sometimes, even with remote work. There isn't a lot of support for proper WFH office equipment, which is tough. It's easy to blur lines between personal and work time.
Advice to Management: Offer better stipends for remote employees to set up comfortable WFH spaces. Also, encourage managers to help teams disconnect more effectively outside of work hours.
