Okay Work-Life, Depends on Your SUEZ Role
Pros: As an Environmental Engineer here, I appreciated the option for hybrid work which really helped. For many of us in the water management industry, having some flexibility in our schedule makes a huge difference. Most weeks, I stuck to a pretty solid 40-hour week.
Cons: However, some projects hit hard, and there's pressure to put in extra hours, especially close to deadlines. It's tough when you're expected to be available for urgent issues, even outside of standard office hours. Not every team gets the same balance, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize work-life expectations across departments. More transparency on project demands would help everyone plan better.

Culture is solid but still very corporate
Pros: There's a decent focus on sustainability projects, which is pretty cool as an Environmental Engineer. You get solid benefits, typical for a big corporate company. The teams are usually pretty supportive.
Cons: The culture can feel a bit old-school, especially in the Dallas, TX office. Innovation often moves super slow here. Don't expect much work flexibility, even if you're on a hybrid work model.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage more local office autonomy and faster adoption of new ideas. Improve flexibility options for employees.

Flexibility at SUEZ is a mixed bag.
Pros: As an Environmental Engineer in the New York City office, I've had some success with a hybrid model, working from home a couple of days a week. It's a huge plus for managing personal stuff and avoiding the commute. This flexibility really helps with work-life balance for those in less operational roles.
Cons: Many operational roles, especially within our water management industry, don't get this luxury. If you're working directly with wastewater treatment plants or utility services, you're pretty much always onsite. It makes it tough for those teams; it feels unfair sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to find more ways to offer work flexibility across all departments, not just certain corporate roles. Even a partial hybrid option for onsite teams would make a big difference in employee morale.
