Good Culture and Solid Learning Opportunities
Pros: Guidepoint offers a great culture for a Project Manager in the expert network industry. The New York City team is collaborative and supportive. I've had solid learning opportunities, and the hybrid work model provides good flexibility. Benefits and compensation are competitive.
Cons: Work can be intense during peak times, impacting work-life balance. The promotion path feels a bit slow, and internal approvals for new projects can be bureaucratic. Streamlining these processes would really help.
Advice to Management: Consider streamlining internal processes for career progression and new project approvals to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction. Consistent communication on these fronts would also be beneficial.

Pay's Okay, Benefits Could Use a Boost
Pros: As a Client Solutions Associate in New York City, the base salary was pretty competitive for an entry-level role in the expert network industry. I mean, it's a solid start for recent grads. Health insurance coverage was standard, nothing too fancy but it got the job done.
Cons: The bonus structure for client-facing roles wasn't always clear, which was a real bummer. It felt tough to plan ahead. Plus, the 401k match for a corporate company of this size felt a bit on the low side. Other financial services firms often offer more generous benefits.
Advice to Management: You guys should really look into making the bonus targets clearer. Also, a better 401k match would make a huge difference in attracting and keeping talent, especially in a competitive market like New York.

Research Manager

Okay growth if you're proactive at Guidepoint
Pros: I've learned a ton about the `expert network industry`. There are chances to take on new projects, especially for us `Research Managers`. The vibe in the `New York office` is pretty fast-paced, which I like sometimes.
Cons: Career progression isn't always super clear; you really have to advocate for yourself. Sometimes it feels like you're stuck in a `client service` role without a clear path forward. Promotions can feel slow if you're not constantly pushing for them.
Advice to Management: Create more transparent paths for career advancement and clearer promotion criteria for all roles, especially for Research and Client Service teams. It would help a lot with employee retention.
