Work-Life is Okay, But Can Get Hectic
Pros: I did enjoy working on some really cool projects in the entertainment industry. The Los Angeles office itself is pretty nice, and the hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office) was manageable most weeks for a Marketing Specialist.
Cons: Sometimes the workload was just too much. I frequently worked late, especially around big launches for new shows, which really ate into my personal time. It's tough to have consistent work-life balance when project demands suddenly spike.
Advice to Management: Try to manage project scope better and allocate more resources during peak times. It would really help prevent burnout among staff and improve overall work-life balance.

Tough for WFH in media production
Pros: Some teams do get decent work-from-home options, especially if you're not client-facing. The overall company culture in the Los Angeles, CA office is pretty good with friendly folks. Pay is also solid for the broadcasting industry.
Cons: Work flexibility here is pretty low for many roles, especially as an Associate Producer. They really push for you to be on-site, even if your tasks don't require it. The hybrid model feels more like an "on-site unless approved" policy, which makes things tough for a big corporate company.
Advice to Management: Rethink the need for constant on-site presence for non-client-facing media production roles. Trust your employees more with truly hybrid schedules and improve work flexibility options.

Decent for some, but depends on your team
Pros: For an Associate Producer role in a big corporate environment, the work-life balance isn't terrible if you have a good manager. I appreciated the hybrid model, it gave me some flexibility to work from home a couple of days a week, especially useful in the busy Los Angeles traffic. When things weren't crunch time, I could usually stick to 40-hour weeks.
Cons: When a major project or broadcast event hit, all bets were off. The expectations for working late and on weekends were intense, which is tough for someone looking for consistent work-life balance in the entertainment industry. It felt like some teams had it way better than others; there's no real consistency across departments here in the Universal City office.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize expectations around working hours across different teams and productions. It would help a lot with employee morale and retention, especially for roles like Associate Producer. More support during peak times could also prevent burnout.
