Hybrid Model is Decent for Sales Roles
Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work model; it offers a solid balance. For Account Manager roles, having a couple of work-from-home days really helps with focus and avoiding commutes. It's a decent setup for a large corporate environment.
Cons: It's not truly flexible if you're looking for full remote work. The mandatory in-office days, usually three a week, can feel unnecessary sometimes. Especially in IT distribution, a lot of our collaboration is virtual anyway.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the mandatory in-office days for roles that don't truly require it. More flexibility would boost morale for the IT distribution teams.

Culture is decent but quite corporate.
Pros: What's the work-life balance like here? It's pretty decent. As a Logistics Coordinator, my team's been really supportive, especially in the Clearwater, Florida office. The hybrid model is fantastic, giving us good WFH days.
Cons: Sometimes, the company culture feels a bit cold. It's a huge, big corporate operation in IT distribution. Decisions can take forever, which is tough in a fast-paced supply chain.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more connection across departments. Make sure the 'big corporate' feel doesn't overshadow teamwork. Streamline decision-making processes where possible.

Solid Flexibility for a Big Company
Pros: The hybrid work options are pretty solid here. As a Sales Operations Analyst, I appreciated being able to work from home most days. It really helps with personal appointments or just avoiding traffic in the mornings, which is a huge plus in the IT distribution industry.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like flexibility depends a lot on your direct manager. Not every team gets the same WFH privileges, which can be frustrating. Full remote work isn't really an option for many roles, even if the work could be done remotely.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing for more consistent flexibility across all departments and trust employees to manage their time. It really boosts morale and productivity when people feel they have control over their work environment.

Hybrid model is fine but needs more real flexibility
Pros: I liked the initial move to a hybrid work arrangement. For someone in IT distribution, not having to be in the Clearwater, FL office five days a week was a huge plus. It definitely helps with work-life balance a bit.
Cons: The biggest issue with flexibility is that the hybrid model isn't truly flexible; it's a fixed schedule. You're locked into specific days in the office, even if your tasks could easily be done remotely. This can be tough for Inside Sales Representative roles when you need quiet focus time.
Advice to Management: Consider offering more true flexibility within the hybrid model. Let teams decide their best onsite days or allow more remote options for certain roles.

Culture is okay, but can be slow
Pros: Working as an Account Manager here means you get to work with some really great people. The team support is solid, especially for hybrid work setups. Benefits are decent for a big corporate in IT distribution.
Cons: The company culture in the Clearwater, FL office can feel pretty stagnant. It's tough to get new ideas implemented because of all the bureaucracy. Sometimes it feels like there's not much room for true innovation.
Advice to Management: Try to empower teams more and really listen to feedback about streamlining processes. Encourage a culture that rewards agility and new ideas, not just sticking to the old ways.

Okay Place, Some Culture Hiccups Post-Merger
Pros: I liked my immediate team as a Sales Support Specialist. It's a supportive group in the IT distribution space. You learn a lot about vendor relationships and channel partners in a big corporate environment.
Cons: The company culture is still feeling the effects of the merger. There's some internal competition that feels unhealthy. It can be tough in the Clearwater, Florida office when different legacies clash, especially in a big tech company.
Advice to Management: Try to truly merge the cultures, not just the names. Address the internal competition issues to create a more unified big tech company.

Okay Culture, but You're a Number
Pros: The benefits package is pretty solid. I appreciated the hybrid work model, getting a few WFH days a week. It's a stable place for anyone in IT distribution.
Cons: The company culture feels very corporate and impersonal. As an Account Manager, you're largely just a number, not really part of a tight team. It's tough to build real connections in such a big tech distributor.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more community within teams. Even with the hybrid work model, managers could make an effort to connect people beyond just sales goals. Make employees feel less like cogs in a machine.

Growth Here? You'll Have to Drive It
Pros: You can definitely grow if you're proactive, especially in Account Manager roles. They offer decent internal training resources if you seek them out, common for a big company in the IT distribution industry. The hybrid work option helps with juggling things.
Cons: Career progression isn't always smooth, though. You often have to really push for promotions; they don't just appear. The structure in the Clearwater, Florida office can feel a bit rigid, making it hard to jump between different tech product teams.
Advice to Management: Make career paths more transparent for employees. It would really help if managers were proactive about development, instead of us always having to initiate.

Decent Benefits, Base Pay Could Be Better
Pros: The health insurance package is pretty good, honestly. We also got a decent 401k match, which is nice for a big corporate company. If you're looking for standard benefits, they've got you covered.
Cons: The base salary for an Inside Sales Representative feels low for the market, especially being remote from Texas. It's really hard to hit those commission targets in the IT distribution industry. You end up relying heavily on commission, which isn't always stable.
Advice to Management: Take a closer look at the base salaries for sales roles. Make the commission structure more attainable. It would really help retain talent.

Decent place, but career growth is slow.
Pros: You get good exposure to a lot of vendors, which is helpful in the IT distribution industry. The benefits package is solid for a big corporate company. The hybrid work model offers some decent flexibility.
Cons: Career growth is definitely tough here, especially as a Sales Account Manager. It feels like internal promotions are really rare; you can get stuck in your role. There's not much investment in professional development for future roles.
Advice to Management: Invest more in your internal talent. Create clearer paths for career progression and offer better professional development programs. This would really help with employee retention for roles like mine.
