Project Engineer

Stable Company with Good Team & Learning Opportunities
Pros: I really appreciate the collaborative environment here. As a Project Engineer in the industrial sector, I've had many chances to learn about different climate solutions and advanced engineering. My teammates are always willing to help, and the work has a real impact on efficiency and sustainability, especially for data centers and manufacturing clients. The company feels stable, offering good job security in the long run.
Cons: Sometimes, the internal approval processes can feel a bit slow, especially for new project initiatives, which can occasionally impact project timelines. Also, I think communication from top leadership could be more consistent across all departments regarding strategic changes. It's not a major issue, but clearer direction would certainly help us optimize our efforts and avoid minor delays on projects.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval workflows and ensure more consistent, proactive communication from senior leadership regarding company-wide goals and decisions.

Stable Industrial Manufacturing Role with Good Team
Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer, I appreciate the supportive team and collaborative environment. There are solid learning opportunities working on climate solutions and energy-efficient systems. It's a stable industrial manufacturing company, offering consistent work. Good overall work-life balance too, which is a big plus.
Cons: Career growth can be a bit slow, and sometimes the internal approval processes feel lengthy. Communication between departments could definitely be improved for smoother project execution. These are minor points, but they do impact daily workflow.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining internal approval processes and improving cross-departmental communication to accelerate project timelines and foster clearer career paths for engineers. Invest more in leadership development programs.

Solid Tech, Culture is a Work in Progress
Pros: The benefits package is pretty solid here. As an HVAC Engineer, I've felt a good sense of job security because they're a leader in industrial climate solutions. Most of the engineering teams are collaborative, which helps with project work.
Cons: The overall company culture, especially in the Amesbury, MA office, feels pretty corporate and lacks warmth. It's mostly standard 40-hour weeks with little flexibility, and there isn't much recognition for extra effort from leadership.
Advice to Management: Work on recognizing employee contributions more openly. Try to modernize the company culture a bit to better engage with and retain newer generations of employees.

Okay for a first job, not much upward mobility
Pros: The team in the Amesbury, MA office is solid. You learn a lot if you're new to the HVAC industry, especially on the product side. It's a decent place to get your foot in the door as an Applications Engineer.
Cons: Career growth here is tough. There aren't many clear paths for promotion, especially for individual contributor roles. It feels like you hit a ceiling pretty fast, and training isn't always available to move up.
Advice to Management: Develop clearer career pathways for all roles, especially for experienced Applications Engineers. Invest more in internal training and mentorship programs to help people move up.

Leadership has some good points, but needs work
Pros: My direct manager was pretty supportive and understood the technical challenges for our industrial climate control projects. I had decent autonomy as a Process Engineer, which is always good. Work flexibility here is pretty solid, thanks to the hybrid model in the Andover, MA office.
Cons: Higher leadership sometimes makes decisions that don't quite make sense for the team, pushing unrealistic deadlines. There isn't always clear communication from the top about company strategy. It feels like they could invest more in leadership training for new managers.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication from the top down. Invest in leadership development, especially for mid-level managers, so they can better support their teams and understand the challenges in the industrial climate control space.
