Rewarding Work with a Great Team Culture
Pros: Love the collaborative, mission-driven culture. Everyone's committed to social development. Gained valuable project management and community engagement skills in the non-profit sector. Hybrid work in our Makati office gives great flexibility, making it fulfilling to work for communities across the Philippines.
Cons: Approval processes can be slow, sometimes affecting timelines. Also, promotions aren't as quick here compared to the corporate world, despite good learning chances.
Advice to Management: Continue to streamline internal approval processes to enhance project efficiency. Exploring more structured career progression paths, even within the non-profit context, could also boost employee morale and retention.

Mission-Driven, But Compensation Could Be Better
Pros: I loved being part of actual social development projects. Working as a Program Officer here means you see real impact, which is really fulfilling. The team is dedicated and passionate about poverty reduction, and it's a solid non-profit organization.
Cons: The pay for a Program Officer is pretty average for the non-profit sector in the Philippines. Don't expect big salaries or fancy benefits; it's mostly standard. It can be tough to live comfortably in Manila with the compensation package they offer.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into reviewing salary structures to be more competitive within the social development and non-profit sector. Attracting and retaining talent will be easier with better compensation and benefits packages.
