Pros: For a big tech company, it's generally stable for engineering roles. I haven't heard about mass layoffs in our specific department yet. The hybrid work model in the San Francisco office helps build strong team ties, which feels a bit more secure.
Cons: The constant reorgs make you nervous, and there's not always clear communication about why they're happening. In the current tech industry climate, you just can't shake the feeling that things could change fast. It's a bit unsettling.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about company direction and future plans. Less frequent, or at least better communicated, reorgs would go a long way in improving employee morale and sense of job security.
