Decent Flexibility, But You'll Work for It
Pros: I've really appreciated the work-from-home options as a Customer Service Representative. It's awesome being able to swap shifts with teammates when something comes up, which is pretty good for work flexibility. They're generally understanding if you need to adjust your schedule a bit.
Cons: The flexibility can feel a bit like a trade-off for other things. Sometimes getting those flexible hours means taking less desirable shifts or working weekends for call center operations. It's not always easy to get time off during peak periods, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Maybe offer more incentives for taking less desirable shifts instead of just 'flexibility.' And improve the career pathing for customer support industry roles; it feels stuck sometimes.

Solid Remote Work, Rigid Schedules
Pros: It's awesome to work from home. Being a remote Customer Support Representative saves tons on commute time and gas. This is a big plus for WFH jobs in the tech support industry.
Cons: The actual scheduling is really rigid. Don't expect to easily swap shifts or change hours much. For contact center roles, that lack of flexibility beyond just being remote is a real bummer.
Advice to Management: Consider allowing more flexibility for shift swaps or different hours. It would help a lot with burnout, especially for the remote Customer Support teams.
