Solid Pay for Digital Real Estate
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer in the Melbourne office is pretty competitive. They also offer a decent superannuation match, which is good. Private health insurance is a solid benefit for the hybrid work model.
Cons: Bonuses aren't as generous as some other big tech companies. I've also felt like annual pay raises are a bit slow, especially compared to inflation. Stock options are okay but don't feel like a major wealth builder.
Advice to Management: Review the bonus structure and consider more aggressive annual pay adjustments to stay competitive, especially for experienced Software Engineer roles.

Decent culture, but could be better
Pros: I really liked my team. Everyone's pretty supportive, and there are good social activities. The hybrid model means you get a mix of WFH and time in the Melbourne office, which is nice. For us in engineering roles, collaboration is generally solid.
Cons: Sometimes it feels very corporate, which can make decisions slow. There's a bit too much hierarchy for my liking, and that can impact company culture. It's a big company, so things aren't always agile.
Advice to Management: Try to cut down on some of the corporate red tape. Empower individual teams more to make quicker decisions. This would really help the company culture.

Leadership Can Be Hit or Miss
Pros: I've enjoyed working on interesting property tech projects here. The hybrid work setup is great, and the Melbourne office is really well-equipped. Pay and benefits are decent for a big tech company in digital advertising.
Cons: Leadership consistency is definitely a problem. Some managers are truly supportive, but others struggle with communication or setting clear expectations. It makes career growth tough for Software Engineer roles sometimes.
Advice to Management: Invest more in leadership training across all levels. Make sure there's a clear, consistent path for career progression, especially for Software Engineer roles, so it doesn't just rely on individual managers.
