Slalom's Culture is Strong, But Project-Dependent
Pros: The company culture here is genuinely supportive, especially within local market teams. People are friendly, and there's a real effort for community building in the Seattle office. You don't get that "dog-eat-dog" vibe. For consulting roles, the internal networking can be solid.
Cons: Culture can feel a bit diluted on certain client projects. It's easy to get siloed, and the hybrid model can make it hard to connect with folks outside your direct team. Sometimes it feels like you're working for the client, not Slalom, which impacts the overall Slalom corporate experience.
Advice to Management: Focus on better integrating consultants when they're on long-term client engagements. Maybe more regular Slalom-specific check-ins and activities for those embedded for months to strengthen the company culture connection.

Good Start for Consulting, Growth Depends on You
Pros: I got to see different client industries as a consultant. That's a huge plus in management consulting for building skills. Networking in the Dallas office was pretty good.
Cons: Career growth felt a bit vague at times. You really have to hustle to get on projects that push you. Sometimes I felt stuck if my project wasn't challenging enough.
Advice to Management: Make career paths more transparent for consultants. It would help if management actively connected people with projects that align with their development goals, instead of leaving it all up to individual initiative.

Decent Flexibility, Depends on Client Projects
Pros: I liked that there's often the option for hybrid work if your client allows it. For a Senior Consultant, it's a good setup when you're not client-facing all week. The project variety in management consulting is great, so you're not always stuck.
Cons: True work-life balance can be tough when clients dictate the schedule and need you onsite. Sometimes, that advertised flexibility for the Dallas office just doesn't materialize. It's not a truly remote-first environment across the board.
Advice to Management: Try to empower project managers more to negotiate client expectations around remote work. It would help a lot with retention for Senior Consultant roles if there was more consistency in work-from-home options.
