Pros: I appreciate the hybrid model; it offers a few WFH days each week. As an Underwriter, this flexibility really helps me manage personal appointments without stress. The London office is pretty good for collaboration when we're in.
Cons: The flexibility isn't always consistent across all teams or for every insurance professional. There's an expectation to be onsite more often for certain projects, which can limit true work-life balance. It's not fully remote, so don't expect that.

Pros: The hybrid model helps a lot for an Underwriter, you don't have to be in the London office five days a week. That flexibility is key for managing personal stuff. Most of the time, I can actually keep my hours reasonable, which is good for work-life balance.
Cons: But when quarter-end hits or a big reinsurance deal is closing, forget about leaving on time. It's tough, and you definitely put in more than 40 hours. This can make the work-life balance tricky sometimes for us insurance professionals.
