Every minute of every day, Imagine Communications’ customers create millions of media moments all over the world. Moments that inform, entertain and change the way we experience the world. At Imagine Communications, we develop the technologies that enable our customers to deliver all these moments. Anywhere, anytime, on any device.
With more than five decades in broadcast, I guess you could say that media technology is our life. We developed the first broadcast video server to support 1080p. Provided the first HD instant replay for the NFL. And we’re just getting started. Our scalable, software-based solutions make it easy for the world’s leading media companies to deliver TV Everywhere today and provide a seamless migration path to the more efficient delivery platforms of tomorrow.
As one of the industry’s leaders in research and development investment, we have a keen eye focused on a new generation of media enabled by IP, virtualization, cloud infrastructure and software-defined networks, developing a future-looking ecosystem that enables our customers to operate ahead of the technological curve.
No matter where the media business is headed next, chances are, we’re going there too.

Pros: The health insurance plan at Imagine Communications is pretty solid. It's a real plus to have good medical coverage, especially working in the media tech industry. PTO is also fairly generous, which helps with work-life balance.
Cons: However, the salary for Broadcast Support Specialist roles isn't very competitive. I felt underpaid compared to other corporate companies in Denver. There aren't many opportunities for significant raises, even with good performance.
Advice to Management: You should really look at market rates for all technical support and engineering roles. It's hard to attract and keep top talent when compensation packages aren't competitive.

Pros: The hybrid model is solid for most of us in the Dallas office, especially as a Software Engineer. We get a couple WFH days which is a huge plus. It's nice not being stuck in traffic five days a week.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like remote work isn't fully embraced, especially if your manager prefers everyone onsite. This can make the 'flexibility' a bit uneven across teams. True asynchronous work for our video infrastructure projects is rare.
Advice to Management: Really push for consistent flexibility policies across all departments, not just team by team. Trust employees more with their time, especially for experienced engineers working on critical media tech solutions.
