Okay Benefits, But Pay Needs Work
Pros: The health benefits package was actually pretty solid for a corporate travel company. I appreciated the PTO accrual, which was decent for my time as a Travel Consultant in the Orlando office. They did have some good employee discounts on travel too.
Cons: The base salary for entry-level travel roles felt pretty low, which made it hard to rely solely on that. The commission structure for Travel Consultants wasn't always clear or easy to hit, so boosting your pay felt like a constant uphill battle. It's tough to feel like you're earning enough.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously re-evaluate the base salaries for Travel Consultants, especially considering the cost of living. A more transparent and achievable commission structure would also help motivate the team and improve retention.

Hybrid Model Is Decent For Travel Consultants
Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work model. As a Travel Consultant, I get to work from home a couple of days a week, which really helps with my commute into the London office. It's a solid perk for maintaining some work-life balance.
Cons: The 'flexibility' isn't really uniform. While some senior roles have more leeway, junior Travel Consultants often feel pressured to be onsite more. It's not truly flexible for everyone, and fixed in-office days can be tough in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more genuine flexibility to all Travel Consultants, not just senior staff. A more adaptable hybrid schedule would boost morale and help with retention in the competitive travel industry.
