Good culture overall, but prepare for intensity
Pros: The company culture is pretty solid here. People are generally friendly and helpful, especially within the engineering teams working on the trading platform. We often have team lunches in the Sydney office, which is a nice perk. It has a real fintech startup vibe sometimes.
Cons: The work-life balance can get tough, especially for Senior Software Engineer roles during big releases. It's a demanding fintech environment. Sometimes the social events feel a bit forced instead of organic.
Advice to Management: Work on consistent work-life balance for all teams, not just during crunch. Make social events feel more optional and natural for people.

Pay is okay, benefits could improve
Pros: As an Account Manager, the base salary was pretty competitive for a fintech company in London. They had a solid 401k match, which is good. It's not top-tier big tech pay, but it's decent.
Cons: Health insurance options felt a bit pricey, especially for a corporate firm like Axi. Also, the bonus structure for sales roles isn't very clear. PTO felt limited after a few years.
Advice to Management: Clarify the bonus structure for Account Managers and other sales roles. Review the health benefit plans to make them more affordable for employees.

Okay Place, But Culture Can Be Hit or Miss
Pros: The team I worked with directly as a Data Analyst was pretty solid. We had a good collaborative spirit, especially within our product analytics squad. There are some genuinely smart people here in the fintech industry.
Cons: The overall company culture, though, feels a bit fragmented. There's a lot of silo thinking between departments, and sometimes leadership doesn't seem to get the full picture, leading to slow decisions. It's not a super high-energy environment, which can be tough for some.
Advice to Management: Focus on breaking down departmental silos and improving communication across the board. The company culture could really benefit from more unified leadership and clear strategy.
