Pros: Work-life balance here is generally okay, especially if you manage your projects well. For an IoT Solutions Engineer in the San Jose office, I wasn't constantly working crazy hours. Hybrid work model helped a lot.
Cons: Sometimes deadlines for new connectivity solutions can be tight. It's not a true 40-hour week, often closer to 45-50 hours during crunch times. There's pressure to deliver quickly in this M2M space.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out project timelines to avoid last-minute rushes, especially for critical connectivity solutions. Support for hybrid work is good, keep that up.

Pros: As a Software Engineer on IoT solutions, health benefits are pretty solid. The 401k match is also a decent perk. That's good for a mid-sized tech company in this industry.
Cons: Base pay for engineering roles in the San Jose, CA office isn't competitive. Raises are often minimal. It's tough to get a big bump without moving.
Advice to Management: Management should really review the salary bands for all engineering and product roles, especially for the San Jose, CA office. Losing good talent over pay isn't a sustainable strategy in the IoT space.

What is Aeris's policy on remote or hybrid work for roles like software engineers in their San Francisco office?
Aeris offers a hybrid work model for many roles, including software engineering positions based in our San Francisco headquarters. Employees typically work in the office a few days a week, with flexibility for remote work on other days. This approach balances collaboration with the benefits of remote flexibility.
What is the typical work-life balance like for software engineers at Aeris, especially in their downtown Denver office?
Aeris generally supports a good work-life balance, with teams often focusing on project completion without expecting excessive overtime. While deadlines can be demanding, especially for larger projects, management encourages employees to disconnect after work hours. This approach helps maintain a sustainable pace for engineers in the competitive Denver tech scene.
