Good culture for a growing tech company
Pros: The team here is super collaborative. There's a strong sense of community, and the social events are decent. For engineers, it's a supportive environment, and the hybrid work model is a big plus.
Cons: Sometimes the culture can feel a bit fragmented between different departments. Decision-making isn't always super transparent, which can be frustrating. The onboarding process for new hires, especially in product development, could use some refining.
Advice to Management: Keep focusing on cross-departmental communication. More transparency in strategic decisions would really help team morale and reduce speculation. Also, standardize the onboarding experience.

Pay is solid, but benefits could improve
Pros: As a Software Engineer in the Oslo office, my base salary was pretty competitive for the local tech industry. They do offer a decent pension plan, which is a big plus here in Norway.
Cons: Health benefits feel a bit basic compared to some other software companies. There's not much in terms of performance bonuses or stock options, which is a downside for growth.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the health insurance packages and consider introducing a more structured bonus system or equity program. It would really help attract and retain top talent in our growing industry.

Decent Tech, But Job Security Is a Real Worry
Pros: I really enjoyed my time as a Software Developer here. The gamified training platform is genuinely innovative, and it was cool working on that product. The team culture was pretty good too, very supportive for a tech startup.
Cons: The biggest issue is job security. We've seen a few rounds of layoffs in the SaaS industry recently, and it makes everyone a bit nervous. Even working remote from Austin, TX, you feel the uncertainty.
Advice to Management: Management needs to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans. It would help a lot with employee morale and job security concerns.
