Solid team, but career path isn't clear
Pros: I've worked as a Data Analyst here in the Milton Keynes office for a few years. The team is really supportive, and you get to work with some interesting financial product data. It's a decent environment for learning new analytical tools.
Cons: Honestly, career growth feels pretty stagnant for Data Analyst roles. There isn't a clear path for promotion, so it's tough to see what's next. I don't feel like I'm really advancing in the financial services industry here.
Advice to Management: Please create more transparent career development plans, especially for our analytics and tech teams. We need to see clear steps for promotion and skill development if you want to retain talent.

Decent flexibility if you're proactive
Pros: Working as a Financial Data Analyst, I appreciated the hybrid work model. You get a couple of WFH days each week which is solid. It helps a lot with personal appointments and commuting to the Beaconsfield office isn't a daily grind.
Cons: Sometimes the flexibility depends on your team manager, which isn't ideal. It can feel a bit inconsistent across different financial data teams. Also, getting full remote approval for longer periods is tough in this corporate setting.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the work flexibility policy across all departments. It would create a fairer experience and boost morale. More trust in employees would also go a long way.

Okay Place, Growth Needs Work for Analysts
Pros: The team in the Malmesbury office is really supportive. I've learned a lot about financial products and data analytics tools specific to the industry. You get decent exposure to different datasets for a Data Analyst role.
Cons: Career growth is a big issue for Data Analysts. There aren't many clear paths to promotion, and it feels like you hit a ceiling pretty fast. They don't really invest in training for advanced data science skills.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on creating clearer career pathways for technical roles like Data Analysts. Invest in external training for new financial data modeling techniques.
