Pros: As a Software Engineer, the work on the EHS software platform is stable. You learn a lot about the environmental health safety industry. The team environment, especially within my immediate squad, was really supportive.
Cons: Career growth for technical roles feels pretty stagnant. There aren't many clear paths to advance your skills or move up the ladder. It's a big tech company, but progression can be tough if you're not constantly pushing for it.
Advice to Management: Management should really focus on creating clearer, more visible career paths for individual contributors, especially in engineering. It would help a lot with retention and employee motivation.

Pros: The hybrid model is decent for a mid-sized SaaS company. We only had to be in the Toronto office three days a week, which was helpful for my role as a Software Engineer. It lets you avoid the daily commute a few times.
Cons: It's not really 'flexible' though. Those three onsite days are fixed, so you can't switch them up easily. This makes personal appointments tough to schedule, especially for active software development projects.
Advice to Management: Consider allowing more choice on the mandatory office days. True flexibility would really help with employee morale and retention, especially for seasoned Software Engineer roles.
