Pros: The pay is solid, especially for a Production Operative in the snack food industry. You know your shift pattern well in advance, which helps with planning. We get decent overtime options too.
Cons: Work-life balance can be really tough with the shift work at the Billingham, UK plant. It's mostly onsite, so WFH isn't an option for manufacturing roles. Sometimes coverage is light, making long hours unavoidable.
Advice to Management: Try to ensure better staffing levels on all shifts. It would really help reduce the pressure for Production Operatives and improve retention.

Pros: The base pay for a warehouse operative is decent for the snack food industry. You get consistent hours, which is good for planning. There's also a company pension plan that's pretty standard.
Cons: Overtime rates aren't fantastic, so you're not making much extra. The health benefits package feels a bit basic, especially compared to bigger corporate jobs. Raises aren't huge, so it's tough to really get ahead.
Advice to Management: Review the overtime pay structure and consider enhancing the health benefits for frontline staff. Better pay incentives for night shifts could help with retention.
