Pros: I've really enjoyed my time as a Project Engineer at Pentair. There are solid opportunities for learning and development, especially in water treatment technologies. My team is super supportive, and I've worked on some interesting projects that directly impact sustainability. It's a stable company within the industrial manufacturing sector, which is great for long-term career planning. You definitely get to learn a lot here and there are always new challenges.
Cons: While the career growth is there, sometimes the pace of internal promotions can feel a bit slow, especially for engineers wanting to move up quickly into senior roles. You might need to be really proactive in seeking out opportunities. Also, some of the older internal systems and approval processes can be a little clunky and take time to navigate, which can occasionally slow down project execution.
Advice to Management: I'd suggest looking into streamlining the promotion process for high-performing individual contributors and perhaps investing more in updating legacy internal systems to improve efficiency.
