Pros: They're really good about letting you set your own schedule, especially when you're a remote Cybersecurity Consultant. Working from home in Scotland was a huge plus. This flexible work arrangement made my work-life balance pretty decent.
Cons: Sometimes, client demands mean you have to be online during specific windows, which can mess with that flexibility. There isn't always a strong culture of truly disconnecting after hours, even with the remote setup. On-call shifts can also reduce that freedom.
Advice to Management: Keep promoting the flexible work options, but also encourage teams to truly disconnect to prevent burnout. Maybe clearer guidelines on client expectations for remote staff, especially in threat detection, would help.
