Remote work is a lifesaver here
Pros: I've really appreciated the work flexibility, especially being a remote Claims Adjuster. It's great to manage my own schedule somewhat, which is a huge plus in the claims management industry. The WFH option truly makes a difference.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like there's too much micromanagement, even with remote work. Getting approvals can be a slow process in this large TPA. They could improve on consistent expectations across different teams.
Advice to Management: Trust your remote teams more and streamline the approval processes. Consistent guidelines for Claims Adjuster roles would also help a lot.

WFH okay, but watch the workload
Pros: I really appreciated the remote work setup they offered. Being able to WFH from Dallas, TX was great for my schedule, especially as a Claims Adjuster. It's a big corporate environment, so they have the infrastructure for that.
Cons: While the flexibility is there, the workload for claims management can be insane. You're expected to hit metrics, and sometimes flexible hours just mean working more hours. It's tough to truly disconnect.
Advice to Management: Management should seriously look at the caseloads for Claims Adjusters. True work-life balance isn't just about remote options; it's about manageable expectations too. Support your teams better.

Remote Work is Good, but Workload is Heavy
Pros: The flexibility of working remote from home is a big plus here. As a Claims Adjuster, it's nice to manage my own schedule for the most part. Sedgwick provides good tech for setting up your home office.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a struggle because the volume of insurance claims is always high. It's easy to get overwhelmed and work over 50 hours a week if you're not strict. Management often expects quick turnarounds.
Advice to Management: Try to manage workloads better for your Claims Adjusters. Encourage taking proper breaks and discourage working extensive overtime consistently.
