Project-based work has its pros and cons
Working here has its ups and downs. If you're always on a client project, it's pretty good. But the time between projects can be a real worry. You definitely feel the pressure to secure your next gig.
It's a solid place if you're consistently staffed. As a Senior Software Engineer, I've had some engaging digital transformation projects. The team culture in the Dublin office is generally supportive and friendly.
The biggest con is job security between projects. There's real pressure to find a new role internally, or you risk being on the bench. For technical roles, if you're not client-facing, that bench time can be stressful with a hybrid model.
Try to provide more clarity and support for employees between projects. The uncertainty really impacts morale and job security perception for many, especially in IT consulting.
