Supportive Team and Great Work-Life Balance
Pros: The team dynamic is really supportive, which I appreciate. You get to learn a lot from experienced developers, which is fantastic for career development in software engineering. They offer good work flexibility, which makes balancing personal life and work pretty manageable. The remote setup has been a huge plus for me, cutting down on commute time and allowing for a better work-life balance overall. It's a stable environment in the fintech space, so job security feels good here.
Cons: While the growth opportunities are there, the promotion process can sometimes feel a bit slow-paced compared to other tech companies. Also, the pay and benefits package could be more competitive, especially for someone with my experience in software development. There are occasional busy periods, which is expected in any startup environment, but it can be a bit challenging to manage at times. Communication between different departments could also be smoother.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining the promotion process and review the compensation packages to remain competitive in the market.

Decent flexibility for a growing fintech startup
Pros: I liked the work from home options for the engineering team. It was good for me as a Melbourne-based Software Engineer trying to balance things. They get that modern work arrangement which is a big plus for a fintech startup.
Cons: Sometimes that "flexibility" just meant working weird hours to hit targets. There weren't always clear boundaries, especially when things got hectic. And it's not truly remote; you still had to be in the office a few days.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing for clearer boundaries on work hours, even with flexible options. It helps everyone manage their time better.

Decent Pay, Benefits Could Improve for FinTech
Pros: The base salary for Software Engineer roles here is pretty competitive, especially for a FinTech startup. I was working remote from Sydney and felt the compensation was fair for the responsibilities.
Cons: However, benefits are pretty standard. Don't expect big tech perks like top-tier healthcare or a huge retirement match. It's a startup company, so there's just less available in that area.
Advice to Management: Consider enhancing the benefits package. Better health coverage or a more robust retirement plan would really help with talent retention in this competitive FinTech market.
