Company Reviews

We are a leading global provider of crop inputs and services, operating a world-class network of production, distribution and ag retail facilities that positions us to efficiently serve the needs of farmers. We focus on creating long-term value by prioritizing investments that strengthen the advantages of our business across the ag value chain and by maintaining access to the resources and relationships with stakeholders needed to achieve our goals.

We produce and distribute about 27 million tonnes of upstream potash, nitrogen, and phosphate products for global agricultural, industrial, and feed customers. Our downstream agriculture retail network services over 600,000 customer accounts worldwide.

Our strong and trusted relationship with farmers is at the heart of our business. In spending our days with farmers, we plan with them, walk their fields and explore ways to help them succeed. We have a comprehensive portfolio of crop inputs and services, spanning the ag value chain, and we are working together with our customers to improve on-farm productivity to meet the needs of a growing global population.

Decent Culture but Things Move Slowly
Pros: I liked my team a lot in the Saskatoon office. People are generally supportive and friendly, which makes the daily grind easier. It's a very stable environment, typical for a large corporate player in the agribusiness sector.
Cons: The biggest issue is how slow everything moves. Decision-making takes forever, and there's a lot of red tape. Sometimes it feels like good ideas get stuck in bureaucracy, which can be frustrating for those wanting to innovate.
Advice to Management: Try to empower teams more and speed up the approval process for new initiatives. It would really help foster a more dynamic environment.

Decent for some, tough during peak times
Pros: My team in the Loveland office is solid. We've got a decent hybrid work option, which helps a lot. It's nice to have some flexibility as an Operations Coordinator here.
Cons: Work-life balance gets rough, especially during peak season for fertilizer distribution. Expect long hours, sometimes 50-60 hour weeks, when crop cycles are busy. It's a corporate environment, so things can feel a bit rigid.
Advice to Management: Try to staff up more for peak seasons. It'd really help prevent burnout and improve work-life balance for those of us in the agricultural sector.

Solid Company, But Career Path is Kinda Slow
Pros: Job security is a real plus here, especially for those of us in the agriculture industry. The benefits package is pretty solid for a large corporate company, and there's good initial training for new Agronomist roles. I appreciate the steady work environment in the Saskatoon office.
Cons: Career advancement often feels really stagnant. There aren't many clear paths to move up from an Agronomist position, and promotions are super slow. It can get frustrating waiting for opportunities within the corporate structure.
Advice to Management: Management needs to create clearer and faster career progression paths. Show your Agronomists how they can realistically advance beyond their current roles. Invest more in internal upward mobility.
