Company Reviews

We are on a mission to futureproof North America. From changing your city's skyline to restoring heritage, we have been engineering vibrant spaces for more than seven decades.

Our impact includes buzz-worthy projects in structural engineering, restoration & glass design. We're equally enthusiastic about building science, energy modelling & state-of-the-art parking garage design.

You may have heard of our work from headline-grabbing projects like BMO Centre's Expansion, CIBC SQUARE, lots of Fairmont Hotels & The Well, to name a few. Each is made possible because our engineers have a reputation for thinking ahead. Bridging sustainability & innovation, we are proud when our designs challenge the status quo.

With offices across Canada & a growing presence in the U.S., our clients get the ‘RJC advantage.' This means personal attention from senior-level engineers who know the challenges of their local neighbourhoods first-hand.

We believe an elevated space for the community trickles down to an elevated lifestyle. For us, every project is a new chance to make connections, while serving the communities we belong to. Injecting fresh ideas into places people use daily.

Junior Structural Engineer

Stable spot for structural engineering pros
Pros: The job security here is really solid, even with economic shifts. As a Junior Structural Engineer, I always had steady work on various building projects. It's a well-established engineering firm, so you don't worry about layoffs much.
Cons: Career growth can feel a bit slow sometimes; it's more about consistent work than rapid advancement. The pay for entry-level roles could be better, but the benefits are decent. There isn't much work flexibility either, mostly onsite.
Advice to Management: Think about creating clearer pathways for career advancement for younger engineers. Also, consider more hybrid options to keep up with modern workplace expectations, especially for the Vancouver office.
