Job Security Is Okay, Not Amazing Here
Pros: As a Junior Consultant in the New York City office, I felt pretty solid once I passed probation. There's a consistent pipeline of management consulting projects, especially in the financial services sector, which helps keep things steady. You won't just get randomly laid off if you're performing well.
Cons: Job security can feel a bit tied to specific project budgets, which can be stressful. If a big client project gets cut, you might feel the pressure, especially if you're not fully utilized right away. It's not like the super stable public sector jobs, but it's not a volatile startup either.
Advice to Management: Keep communication really clear about project pipelines and potential impacts on staffing. This would really help consultants feel more secure and less anxious about changes.

Hybrid Model is Okay, But Inconsistent
Pros: I liked the initial hybrid model. You could often work from home a couple days a week, which was good for a Junior Consultant. This helped with my commute to the Atlanta office.
Cons: The work flexibility changed a lot though. Sometimes client projects meant being onsite every day, even when it felt unnecessary. It often felt less like a hybrid model and more like an expectation to be in.
Advice to Management: Try to have a clearer, more consistent policy on work flexibility, especially for Junior Consultants. Communicate changes about client projects and WFH expectations better.

Culture is okay, but it's pretty traditional
Pros: You get to work with some really smart folks here. As a Junior Consultant, I learned a lot on client projects. The hybrid work model in the Chicago office was decent too, letting us come in a few days a week.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit rigid. There's not always a lot of room for new ideas, especially from junior staff. It's tough to really connect with senior leadership sometimes.
Advice to Management: Try to be more open to feedback from all levels. Foster an environment where new ideas are truly valued, not just talked about.
