Solid Place to Grow in Healthcare Tech
Pros: I've really appreciated the work flexibility here, which is a huge plus for my work-life balance. Being a Software Engineer in healthcare technology, I often get to work on interesting projects that feel impactful. My team is super supportive, and there are good opportunities to learn and develop new skills in this tech company environment. It feels like a stable place to be.
Cons: The biggest area for improvement would be the promotion process; it can feel a bit slow sometimes. Also, while work flexibility is great, there are occasional busy periods with tight deadlines that can make it hard to maintain that balance. Communication could be clearer around project timelines.
Advice to Management: Keep focusing on clear career pathing, especially for mid-level engineers. It would also be great to review compensation regularly to stay competitive in the market.

Okay for now, not a ton of growth paths
Pros: I learned a lot being a Software Engineer here. You get to touch many different parts of the platform. The projects in healthcare interoperability are genuinely challenging and good for skill-building.
Cons: Career growth isn't super clear. It's tough to see a path for advancement beyond your current role, especially in product development roles. There's not much structured professional development either.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer career ladders, especially for engineers. Invest in formal mentorship programs for growth.

Pay is just okay, benefits could be better
Pros: The base salary for a Software Engineer here is decent for a startup, especially if you're working remote. There's good health insurance, which is pretty standard for a healthcare software company.
Cons: Stock options are pretty stingy for a healthcare tech company at this stage. I've seen better 401k matching elsewhere, it's not very competitive. There isn't much in terms of unique perks, just the basics.
Advice to Management: Revisit the equity grants and 401k matching to be more competitive in the healthcare tech market. Better benefits attract and retain top talent.
