Pros: You can get solid work flexibility once your project stabilizes. The hybrid model is generally good for me as an Automation Engineer, letting me split time between home and the Kitchener, ON office. They're okay with WFH a few days a week.
Cons: During early project phases, especially in Industrial Automation, you're pretty much always expected onsite. Some managers don't fully buy into the company's flexible work policy, which can be tough. There's not always consistent support for WFH.
Advice to Management: Consistency is key. Make sure all managers understand and truly support the flexible work options for engineering roles, even when client demands are high. Trust your teams more with WFH.
