Okay flexibility, but needs improvement
Pros: They do offer a hybrid work model, which is nice. I usually go into the Montreal office a few times a week. It's decent for some roles, especially if you're not in a critical lab-dependent position for the avionics industry.
Cons: True remote work is almost impossible, even as a Firmware Developer. It's really expected you're mostly onsite. Getting approval for schedule changes or working from home on short notice can be tough. There's not much flexibility on specific days.
Advice to Management: Revisit the work flexibility policies. Make them clearer and more consistent across teams. Trust employees more to get work done, regardless of location for roles like embedded systems development.

Solid place for stability, needs fresh ideas
Pros: The team in the Montreal office is pretty solid, people are generally helpful. It's a stable corporate environment, good for Software Engineer roles if you value routine over rapid change.
Cons: Culture can feel a bit slow, not much push for new tech in aerospace electronics. Career growth often feels stuck, especially if you're not in a core avionics project. Work flexibility is also pretty limited.
Advice to Management: Encourage more innovation and create clearer paths for career development across all engineering teams. Update the tech stack for aerospace electronics.

Solid Stability in Aerospace Engineering
Pros: Job security here is genuinely good. As a Software Engineer in the Montreal office, I've always had consistent project flow. Being in the aerospace industry, projects are long-term, so there's not much fear of sudden layoffs; it's a very established company.
Cons: While very stable, career growth can feel a bit slow sometimes. It's a corporate environment, so moving up isn't always quick. You might work on the same embedded systems for a long time without a ton of new challenges.
Advice to Management: Try to create clearer paths for career progression and introduce more diverse project opportunities, especially for those in embedded systems development roles. This would help retain talent who might feel stuck.
