Company Reviews

Hello. Glad you stopped by. In fact, we were hoping you’d stop by because we’re unabashedly passionate about design and love to connect with those who feel the same.

We’re a team of architects, urban planners, interior designers, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and landscape architects who truly believe design can, and should, meaningfully improve the wellbeing of our communities and the environment we all share.

And we don’t just say that. We mean it!

We’ve come together because we see the important challenges facing communities becoming increasingly complex. We believe the diverse perspectives and expertise of our multidisciplinary team uniquely position us to tackle these challenges in ways our competitors can't. We even have clients who would tell you we’ve made the impossible possible!

Our work includes designing for urban vibrancy, health and wellness, transportation, education, arts and culture, residential, retail, and commercial, as well as mixed-use solutions which incorporate an increasing number of these.

As a group of creatives, we’re known as people who think outside the box. But the truth is we’re usually pushing, pulling, cutting, carving, sketching and modelling our clients' needs that eventually become places for communities to enjoy.

If you’re interested in thinking outside the box with us, we want to hear from you.

Decent culture, but workload can be a lot.
Pros: They really push collaboration. It's great for learning from senior architects and engineers on big urban planning projects. There's a strong sense of team in the Toronto office, which makes tough deadlines a bit easier.
Cons: Sometimes the culture feels a bit too "work-hard-play-hard," which means long hours for project deadlines. Work-life balance for junior roles, especially in architecture, isn't always prioritized. It's not a relaxed 40-hour week.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage project loads so junior staff don't burn out. More emphasis on true work-life balance would help a lot.

Good projects, but career path can be slow
Pros: You get exposure to really diverse architecture and urban design projects here. The mentorship from senior architects is usually solid, you learn a ton if you're proactive as an Architectural Designer.
Cons: Career progression for Architectural Designer roles isn't super clear. Getting promoted can feel like it takes forever, especially in the Vancouver, BC office. There's not much structured professional development either.
Advice to Management: Create clearer pathways for career advancement, especially for mid-level design staff. Invest more in structured professional development programs beyond just project-specific learning.

Decent Place for Early Career Growth
Pros: As an Architectural Designer, I've gotten to work on some pretty cool projects across various sectors, even touching on urban planning. It's great for gaining diverse experience. The mentorship program for junior staff in the Toronto office is a solid perk.
Cons: Career progression feels pretty slow here for a mid-sized firm. There isn't a very clear path for moving into specialized roles, which can be frustrating. You often have to push hard for advanced training yourself.
Advice to Management: Create more defined career paths for specialized roles, not just partner track. Invest more in advanced training and development programs for intermediate staff.
